Guidelines
Jar size: Standard size jam jars are used to avoid heavy postage costs and allow judges to taste your product- guideline no less than 175 grams.
We are unable to accept miniature pots .
See through Jars must be clean and filled to the top.
Presentation will be taken into account.
So we know that the jam is yours.
Attach Label to each jar with the category name with a FULL LIST of ingredients and category you wish it to be judged in .
Fix another label with your name & telephone number to the bottom of the jar, with email address if you have one.
If you would like to enter more than one category that is fine .
The judges will consider the colour, appearance, consistency, aroma & flavour of each entry, along with any specific category requirements.
If sending jars from abroad, please note you are responsible for charges incurred by any import duties. List your entries as SAMPLES on all legal documentation.
Please NOTE no jam will be returned .
Entry Fee
Free entry for any child of school age .
£5 per entry For members of the public who do not sell their preserves .
£10 for any commercial entry this means anyone who sells their produce . and sent or taken to collection points as mentioned on previous page
